2016 Kickoff Meeting- We Are the Starry Eyed!

Thanks to everyone who came to our first meeting of the year! We had a turnout of just under 50 moms on Wednesday morning, and we enjoyed meeting many new faces.  Moms were welcomed with elements from this year's theme of "We Are The Starry Eyed," and each mom received a goodie bag filled with stellar mom loot from many generous businesses!

Our hospitality team greeted moms with a smile and a gift bag!

We kicked off our meeting with a prayer, before diving into the delicious brunch that was provided by the steering committee.  Then the room filled with laughter as we watched and related to a WhatsUpMoms video clip on being late for preschool.  Following a devotion led by our co-coordinator, we got to know each mom a little more when she introduced herself and finished the sentence "Before I was a mom, I....". We enjoyed prizes galore as each steering member raffled one of her favorite things, and then we wrapped up the meeting in small groups where we chatted and answered some fun questions about our interests.

The steering committee worked hard all summer to plan a fun filled and spiritually rich fall semester for our Sandhills MOPS mommas, and we will continue to pour love into all of our planning and events throughout the year.  We are so thankful that you spent your Wednesday morning with us, and we hope you'll continue to join us!

Be sure to join us for our next meeting, where we'll share another delicious brunch and special tastes from a local meal delivery service, as well as an inspiring and starry eyed speaker that you won't want to miss!
